2012 2wd Stock Short Course Truck
$ Money $ !
1st $10.00 2nd $6.00 3rd $3.00 each Sunday race !
NEW AND FINAL UPDATE ! 1/17/2012 ... 17.5 is our 2wd stock class motor and the final decision.
I've made the final decision for the 2wd stock to be the 17.5 motor blinky mode - no boost this year, keeping in line with Roar and most tracks
I would recommend to a beginner that does not have an idea of what class to race to make this their entry class into the hobby. The 2wd sct is simpler maintenance and less expense to maintain. Great class for a beginner to get their feet wet in the hobby.
Also a small cash award for 1st 2nd 3rd will be paid each week in this class only.
This is the closest class we offer to a novice/beginner class in respect to the truck but not experience, any skill level can race in this class.
We don't offer a full novice class because there's never enough novice drivers on any given race day so the next best class is stock 17.5 blinky mode - no boost.
If you find you've become hooked on racing RC and want to go faster you can put a faster motor in and move up to 2wd mod pretty cheaply, or buy another faster truck or buggy for a second class to run.
Stock ... the closest racing competition there is ! ... join in the gut tingling fun.
Since there are so many classes and not enough local racers to populate every class yet and not knowing what the turnout will be for each class, I propose everyone who races with us own a 2wd stock SCT even if it's not your favorite class and have it with you on every race day so we all know at least we'll have a full A, B C in mains and know that no matter how the turnout is in any other class you race, you know you'll be racing in a full class in 2wd stock SCT. There are many reasons I think this class should be the chosen one. Many experienced racers love stock but yet it's a good fit for beginners as well even though a beginner still may get spanked his first few times out. It will still be an epic fun time for those beginners as they improve their skillz quicker against experienced drivers. What I'm saying is, if we end up with say a total of 20 racers between all 9 different classes, and all twenty regular local racers owned a 2wd stock SCT in their arsenal, there would be an A and B main or better in this class most the time. Get your's. |
